1. Flash Furniture – Whitney Mid-Back Desk Chair

Highlight: Give yourself and office a boost with this stylish mid-back white LeatherSoft desk chair. This chair is easy on the eyes and offers plenty of comfort with its thickly padded seat and waterfall seat edge.

Helpful review: “This is the most comfortable desk chair I’ve had, while it lasted, anyway. This thing is not designed to withstand modern work-from-home style office chair use, as all the “LeatherSoft” has come of the parts that touch me at the seat and backrest. And that’s even pretty messy. But when it was new it felt great, and the comfortable arm rests are a must-have.

It was kind of awkward to assemble, with the factory notes only giving a very rough, pictorial approximation of how you’re supposed to slam this sucker together. I did this assembly for myself and another person, and both times it was different. The last time had me on the couch, on my back, trying vainly to slam the backrest into the seat. But it worked out, and got it done, and that’s all a memory. If I can figure out how to put it together, I’m going to say about 75% of adults will be able to.”

Trending review: “I ordered this office chair as I needed a new one and decided to go with the white/gold to match my desk. Although the gold on the chair and my desk are two different finishes of gold, it has a bit of a chic-like look and feel to it.

I know many of the reviews say this chair is very easy to assemble but it’s more like semi-easy-ish. While understanding the parts and having the knowledge of assembling the chair, it’s not as easy to assemble if you’re doing it by yourself. Many of the screw placement holes don’t fully align correctly so you have to use force to manually align your parts to each hole in order to successfully drill all of your screws in tightly. Assembly time is much slower when using a manual Allen wrench so I suggest using a powered one instead as it’s more efficient.

It’s a comfortable chair and I personally like the straight back support it gives me. I have read reviews that the chair will decline in quality after heavy use but unless you are jumping on this thing, I don’t think the wear and tear will happen. I can’t say the same for the faux leather element because we just never know.

Overall, it’s not a bad chair for the price. I would recommend it for yourself.”

2. Nouhaus – Posture Ergonomic PU Leather Office Chair

Top-rated: 2,704 Ratings

Highlight: With FlipAdjust Armrests you can create a task chair with arms, no arms or somewhere in between. It’s a rolling chair with meaningful purpose and space saving qualities. Curved padded armrests add to the comfort, and strong construction lets you lean in how you like.

Trending review: “I’m sitting in it right now. This chair is all about lumbar support. It’s also stiff yet cushy enough. The height adjusts well. The tilt back feature is kind of useless unless you want to rock backwards for some reason — mid-day stretch routine? Swivels left and right nice. Rolls around good. I bought this since I’m hybrid at the office, which works out to me going into the office twice a month. So, I needed a real office chair for home.

Assembly: UGH! Even if you follow the instructions perfectly, it’s hard enough. If you’re someone who is used to assembling Amazon or IKEA-bought “you build it” furniture, you’ll get this chair project done. But the metal castings inside the seat and back that the various screws go into vary in quality. For two screws that secure the arms to the chair and hold the seat and back of the chair to the arms’ framework, it was really hard to thread two of the screws in with the included tool. I don’t have a power tool screw driver with an allen wrench head, or a power screw driver at all, so i was working up quite the sweat getting the screws in.

But at some point I learned that the included tool has two of the same-sized allen wrench ends, and the short end is so you can get more torque when you are putting the screws in. But still, I would say that there is something a little wrong with the machining of two of the holes because it took crazy force to get the screws all the way in.

Also, it will be key to have someone hold the back steady as you attach it to the arm assembly that holds the chair together.

Also, the reason the directions tell you to only 50 percent tighten the screws that go into the arm/seat/back assembly as you assemble is so you have some give to work with as you line up the subsequent screws into their holes through the arm assemblies and into the seat and back. When all the screws are in at 50 percent, then you can tighten them to 100 percent.

Happy sitting!

edit: After using this chair for three days, it’s just about perfect. It would be perfect if the arm rests were adjustable two inches up or down. But, it’s easy to flip them up and not use them at all.”

3. Efomao – Ergonomic Office Chair, Big and Tall

Highlight: The ergonomic office chair equip a dual-layered sponge seat cushion. The big office chair backrest and independent lumbar support gently wrap around your body ,support your lower back, thoughtfully designed for the big and tall office chair to keep you comfortable during long hours of working, studying, or gaming. The leather office chair provides unparalleled comfort. Moreover, this executive chair with leg rest adds an extra dimension of relaxation to your workspace.

Helpful review: “Ok so I was super excited to find this Wide office chair that advertised 27+ inches for the seat width from Inside armrest to Inside armrest. Unfortunately, I measured it after assembly, and it barely measures 23 inches. I was looking forward to having that extra room so that was the first BIG letdown. Additionally, I should mention that the seller on this listing has recently within the past week removed the picture on this listing showing this specific measurement of the width of the seat. Which is a good because it is not 27+ inches wide but mealy 23 inches. big difference.
Ok so I really wanted to like this chair and honestly, I am on the fence if I should return it or not because there are some good features, and I really don’t want to be hassled with a returning of the product. Looks amazing 5 stars, I love the soft leather feel 5 stars. The fabric used is very nice 5 stars. I like that I can lock it in place the angle of the back rest 5 stars.
Cons: The wheels don’t look like they will last being all plastic. Second issue I have is the arm rests are too low or I guess I’m too tall at 5.11 not sure, but I can’t shrink myself so I’m thinking they are too short. Maybe I should just remove them?
Third issue while this chair looks like it would be super comfortable it is deceiving as the cushions don’t seem to provide as much as they look like they should. For me this is ok though because I can purchase a butt pad and get that extra cushion, which I have already bought and is on its way.
The other solution would be for me to remove the arm rests completely and use the chair without arm rests, but then I revert back to debating is this chair a 300-dollar chair with no arm rests.
Update: Customer support reached out to me and discussed addressing the issue I had with the chair. 5-star customer support and fast! I am very pleased they reached out to me, this goes a long way and feel much better about my purchase.”

Trending review: “I recently purchased the Efomao Desk Office Chair, and it has truly exceeded my expectations in every way possible. This chair combines both functionality and aesthetic appeal, making it a stellar addition to any office space.

First and foremost, the high back design provides excellent support, promoting a healthy sitting posture during long work hours. The PU leather upholstery not only looks luxurious but also feels incredibly soft and comfortable. The padding is just right – not too firm and not too soft, striking the perfect balance between support and comfort.

The ergonomic features of this chair are a standout. The adjustable height and tilt mechanism ensure that I can customize the chair to suit my individual preferences, promoting a comfortable and efficient working environment. The smooth-rolling casters add a touch of convenience, allowing for easy movement around the office without any hassle.

As someone who spends a significant amount of time at my desk, the Efomao chair has made a noticeable difference in reducing fatigue and discomfort. It’s clear that the designers have paid attention to detail, from the sturdy construction to the stylish stitching – this chair is not just functional but also a statement piece that elevates the overall look of my workspace.

Assembly was a breeze, thanks to the clear and concise instructions provided. The build quality is impressive, and it’s evident that this chair is designed to withstand the rigors of daily use.

In conclusion, the Efomao Desk Office Chair has proven to be a game-changer for me. It seamlessly combines comfort, functionality, and style, making it an excellent investment for anyone in need of a reliable and aesthetically pleasing office chair. I highly recommend it to those seeking a top-notch seating solution for their workspace.”

Highlight: The backrest of the mesh office chair is made of breathable mesh fabric. The breathable mesh of the desk chair has strong tensile strength, which can keep the back cool and comfortable and avoid sticky sweat that may accumulate on the back. The cushion made of high-density sponge are soft and breathable,The ergonomic office chair can relieve your fatigue caused by long time sitting.

Helpful review: “I love this chair. I needed a new, more supportive chair after having cervical spine surgery. Im 5’9″, average build – so was more interested in a chair with adjustable height and that had arm rests and a head support than one that held a higher weight. This chair was affordable, looked nicer than the standard black chair, and was available with quick shipping. It took me about 20 minutes to assemble and I used it the same afternoon. Overall, very happy with it.”

Trending review: “I desperately needed a chair that was similar to the rocking motion of the ergonomic chairs at work. The ones at work were $500+, so I knew I couldn’t find something similar, but I was hoping I could find something close. I was very wrong because this was SPOT ON. I got the same full rocking motion that I got on my chair at work.

Be sure to read the instructions because initially I didn’t think the rocking feature worked or did so minimally. I made a slight adjustment and it was effortless and exactly what I needed to relieve the pressure on my lower back. I can now sit in this chair for hours.

This is WELL worth the money, so if you have been on the fence. Get it!”

Most-discussed review: “The Monhey chair is a fantastic ergonomic seating solution that has impressed me on multiple levels. Not only does it provide excellent support and comfort, but it also offers some unique features that enhance its functionality.

One standout feature is the ability to lift up the armrests. This thoughtful design allows me to easily slide the chair under a table or desk when needed, optimizing space and ensuring a clean and organized workspace. It’s a small detail that adds convenience and versatility to the chair.

The rocking motion is another great addition. I can choose to enjoy a gentle rocking motion for relaxation or lock the chair in a straight up sitting position for focused work. This flexibility caters to my personal preferences and allows me to customize my seating experience based on my current needs.

The seat cushion is well-padded, providing a plush and supportive surface for extended periods of sitting. Additionally, the mesh backrest promotes airflow, preventing the buildup of heat and sweat on my back. It’s a welcome feature, especially during long hours of work or in warmer environments.

Beyond its functionality and comfort, this office chair boasts a sleek and stylish design. It adds a touch of sophistication to any space, whether it’s a home office or a professional workplace. Despite its impressive features and functionality, it remains accessible and budget-friendly. This makes it an excellent choice for those seeking a reliable and comfortable seating option without breaking the bank.”

5. Mimoglad – Ergonomic Desk Chair with High Back

Top-rated: 5,087 Ratings

Highlight: An ergonomic chair with proper support always maintain a healthy spine posture and will not have a damaging and flattening effect on your back. Good lumbar support will minimize strain or pain on the lumbar discs in your spine. The adjustable headrest prevents you from hunching forward, scrunching your shoulders. Don’t be slouching, this is the culprit.

Helpful review: “I’ve been sitting in this chair 12 hours a day for a month now, and I finally feel like I can write an honest review about it.

The chair was packaged very well, and was one of the easiest chair constructions I’ve experienced over the years. The tools were great quality and I was able to construct it alone with no issues.

Visually, the chair looks nice. The colors pop, and it doesn’t have a “cheap” look to it, despite its plastic and mesh design.

When first sitting in the chair, it’s comfortable. The seat cushion is slightly firm, but soft enough where I don’t feel too much fatigue using it, especially during those long sitting sessions. The mesh seat back is nice, and I don’t feel the pressure of the back’s frame on my shoulder blades. The headrest is a nice touch, as it has a slight give to it, making it comfortable to lean into.

After a few weeks, however, I’m noticing I’ve had some lower back strain/problems which I didn’t have in my previous chair. So I’m not very comfortable anymore. It’s also affecting my sleeping positions, making it difficult to get comfortable and fall asleep quickly.

A majority of my sitting time is spent cross-legged with my back pressed firmly against the backrest to keep my spine aligned, and doing so on this chair, I think, is partly causing the problem. Because of the discomfort, I’m constantly changing my sitting position between “proper”, leaned back, cross-legged, and leaned forward. With my old chair, I could sit cross-legged the entire time with my back pressed against the backrest the entire workday and not have any issues.

There’s an adjustable lower backrest, but it has some issues. For one, it doesn’t stay in the position you keep it in, and you’ll need to readjust it if you squirm around in the chair or get up and leave for a while (it will fall back into its lowest position on its own). Even keeping the back rest adjusted, I still can’t find a comfortable position for long sitting sessions.

Also, there are plastic covers for the joint screws on the swivel arms. These pop out constantly, falling to the ground. There’s nothing to lock them into place aside from light tension. I’ve hammered them on with my hands, but it only lasts for a day or so before falling off again. I’ve resorted to taping them on.

For its price, it may not be a terrible purchase, especially if you’re not planning on sitting for actual office-length work day in and day out. However, I’ll likely be looking for another chair. In the meantime, I’m trying to switch to an orthopedic seat pillow and added armrest cushions to increase the longevity of it, but I don’t like that I have to resort to these measures on a chair 1 month old. We’ll see if the cushions help the lower back pain.

Overall, it’s not a terrible chair. You can do much worse, especially for the price. But for anyone looking for something comfortable for long sitting hours, I don’t believe this will be your chair.”

6. KERDOM – Ergonomic Desk Chair

Highlight: The back and cushion are breathable. A high-quality mesh is used to make it steady, well-shaped and elasticity. May you have a comfortable experience.

Trending review: “First, let me state that this chair is very comfortable and perfect for my work needs. This review, however, is not about the chair per se; it is to acknowledge the prompt and valuable help given to me by the company’s customer service department. I bought this chair a little over a year ago and had no basic problems with it until quite recently, when the mechanism for raising and lowering the seat failed. I like a high perch when I work at my desk, and I suddenly found my seat sinking all the way down shortly after I raised it. My weight is well below the load-bearing limit of the chair, so I knew that there had to be a fault in the piston or the locking mechanism. I was aware that I was just outside the one-year warrantee period and that I could not expect to return the chair or claim replacement parts. But I’m relatively handy and I enjoy tinkering with things if they need fine-tuning or fixing, so I contacted Kerdom and asked if someone might help me to repair the chair on my own. I knew it was a crapshoot and that Kerdom had no formal obligation to help me other than reinforcing customer goodwill. Nonetheless, I got a very quick response to my inquiry from customer service and, within a few days, an email saying that they would send me a new part to replace the deflective one. Again, they did not have to do this and I was already planning a clunky but functional workaround if they decided not to pitch in and help. Generally speaking, I have had few products purchased on Amazon fail on me. But I’ve read enough reviews here to realize that even the best of products sometimes slip through quality control and go out with defective parts. I haven’t yet gotten out my tools to replace the old elevating mechanism with the new one, but I’m pretty confident, given the relative rarity of product failures I’ve experienced, that the re-fitted chair will work fine. (Should it not, I will certainly revisit this review.) But I would be remiss if I did not recognize, before all else, the support given me by Kerdom’s customer service personnel, who went beyond what they were obliged to do to help me restore my desk chair to full functionality.”

Reassuring review: “First, I have to say I have been sitting on a dining room chair for the last 3 years since working from home. Ooooo my back! I couldn’t sit for longer than 5 minutes after a while.
I tried a few chair here and there… but they felt cheap… and I wasn’t willing to pay an outrageous amount.
Finally I decided to buy a chair… looked up many online… and ended up deciding on this one fldue to reviews and look.
It arrived quickly… and it was super easy to assemble… and even better, it provides the right support.
The arms aren’t fancy… but the padding and mesh provide excellent support.
Extremely happy with this purchase. Plus it appears to be a great solid piece.”

7. Oline – ErgoPro Ergonomic Office Chair

Highlight: The Oline ErgoPro Ergonomic Office Chair is designed to give your back and body proper support while you sit. Adjust the headrest, armrests, height and knee tilt to customize to your body.

Helpful review: “This is the third office chair I’ve ordered in 5 months – and the last. Had been suffering for low back/hip pain and sciatica. This chair allows me to work/sit comfortably and has been a big help in moving toward a resolution for my pinched nerve. The product was super easy to assemble (per my husband) and has features I didn’t realize I needed (adjustable arm rests can be moved side2side and front2back). Perhaps is the shape of the seat or the lumbar support, but it’s definitely the most comfy chair I’ve used. I’m even able to sit cross-legged if I choose.”

Trending review: “As I get older it has been a problem sitting down at my desk for a long time. I have gone through 4 different chairs in 5 years. Every chair ended up giving me back pain except for one of those kneeling chairs. Problem with the kneeling chair is I could not walk after 20 minutes.
I was about to break down and try a real high end office chair. I looked closely at their features and noted what made these chairs so pricey. After listing things that made these chairs so good, I went through the Amazon office chairs to see what I could find. Most chairs that fit the bill came in around $350 to $500. Then his chair popped up at half the price and with the features I wanted
First it has great back support in any position you are in. From upright to leaning back. Gamers who lean back a lot will find this feature a must have. The mess seat keeps you sitting in the right position. There is no padding but the chair feels great. Leather chairs are nice but I found when I leaned back I would slide around and loose all my back support. Wheels are a big upgrade from most chairs out there.
I had no problem putting the chair together, but I have put a number of these things together in the past. In fact I had the chair together before I even found the directions which were mixed in the packaging. After looking them over, I did not think they were very good and this is a weak point. The chair is very well built but heavy. Some people may need help putting the chair together if you can’t lift heavy items.”

Most-discussed review: “So I’d been looking for a good ergo office chair for my home office for a while but my office recently closed forcing us all into a WFH situation so I had to go ahead and pull the trigger on a purchase. I saw this one in my recommendations and scooped it up.

It’s been a solid chair so far, the full mesh seating surfaces are comfortable and keep you cool, a little more adjustability for the lumbar support would have been nice but that drives the price point up significantly.

Assembly was easy though it does cover my one complaint and worry with the chair and that’s that the wheelbase was not a single piece and is instead composed of 5 pieces. but again, it’s probably a cost issue to help keep the price down. They also provided some extra fasteners in the box which not all companies do in case one gets lost or damaged.

Will update with photos and if something changes my opinion over the next couple of months”
